Terms of Service

1What we provide

Life Invites sells premium digital invitations. A purchase unlocks a design template in our online studio, where you personalize it — words, colors, photos, films, and music depending on your tier — and publish it as a web page your guests can visit. Some tiers additionally include design work produced for you by our AI studio or our team, built from the brief you provide after purchase. Guests can respond through the invitation’s RSVP form, and you can view and export those responses from the studio.

2Previews, purchases, and payment

Every template can be viewed in full, exactly as your guests would see it, before you buy. Prices are listed in U.S. dollars at checkout and may change over time; applicable taxes may be added. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Your purchase is a license to use the template and studio for your event; it is not a transfer of ownership of the underlying design.

4Refunds

5Hosting, renewal, and expiry

Publishing places your invitation at an address we host for you (for example your-names.lifeinvites.com or www.lifeinvites.com/i/your-names). Hosting follows your wedding date:

• Invitations made in the Studio stay online through your wedding date and for 30 days after, and never for less than 90 days from when you first publish them.
• The Premiere stays online through your wedding and for 12 months after.
• If we can’t read a wedding date on the page, the invitation stays online for a year from when you first publish it.

There is no monthly fee for new invitations, and publishing again never shortens hosting. A monthly hosting subscription started before these Terms continues until you cancel it — canceling ends future charges, and your page stays live through the period already paid — but we no longer offer new ones. When hosting ends, the address shows a short notice instead of the invitation. We may retain your published content for up to 12 months after hosting ends, so you can ask us to bring it back; after that we may delete it.

6Your content

You keep ownership of everything you add to your invitation — names, words, photos, films. You grant us the limited license we need to operate the service: to store, process, and display that content as part of your invitation. You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, including the consent of people who appear in your photos and films. Template designs, artwork, and the music we supply remain ours or our licensors’; they are licensed for use within your published invitation and may not be extracted, resold, or redistributed.

7Guest responses

RSVP responses submitted by your guests are collected on your behalf and shown to you in the studio. You are responsible for how you use your guest list outside the service. We handle guest information as described in our Privacy Policy.

8AI-generated design and media

Some tiers include imagery, film, or design work generated with AI from your brief and reference photos. Creative output varies by nature; the included revision process for your tier is how we get it right, and reasonable imperfections in AI-generated media are not a defect. You receive the same license to AI-generated media as to the rest of your invitation. Do not submit reference photos of people without their consent.

9Acceptable use

• No unlawful, infringing, deceptive, hateful, or harassing content.
• No malware, scraping, spam, or attempts to probe or disrupt the service.
• No impersonation of any person or organization.

We may remove content or suspend service that violates these rules.

10Partner referrals

Wedding planners, photographers, videographers, stationers, venues and others may refer couples to us as partners. This section applies to partners in addition to the rest of these Terms.

• Commission on The Premiere. 20% on every couple you refer, and 25% on your first: the first couple you refer who commissions The Premiere earns 25% instead of 20%.
• Commission on the Save-the-Date Film. 25%. If that couple later commissions The Premiere, the Premiere commission applies to what the couple pays in total, less what we have already paid you for them.
• What it is based on. Commission is calculated on what the couple actually pays us. Nothing is paid on a deposit that is refunded, or on invitations made in the Studio (Make it yourself).
• When it is paid. Within 14 days of the couple’s final payment, after the couple has approved their first look. We arrange each payout with you directly.
• How a referral is counted. A couple counts as your referral when they open your personal partner link and contact us or reserve within 90 days, or name you when they contact us or reserve.
• Disclosure. We tell couples when a partner referred them. When you recommend us, you must disclose that you may receive a referral fee.
• No self-referrals. You can’t earn a commission on your own wedding or by referring yourself.
• Our discretion. We may decline a partnership, or end one, at any time.

11Service “as is”

We work hard to keep invitations fast and available, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Life Invites will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.

13Changes to the service or these Terms

We may improve or change the service, and we may update these Terms. If we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

14Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Life Invites is organized, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
